At the MAI Impact Foundation, we don’t just raise money — we raise families.
We were born from hardship, not headlines. Our founder, Derwin Wallace, was once a homeless teenager, navigating life alone after escaping a violent and unstable home at the age of 15. He spent nights curled up in crawlspaces, cold and hungry, with rats as his only family. Yet even then, he refused to let his circumstances define him. He finished high school while living on the streets and went on to build a career advising companies that collectively raised billions.
Now, he’s building something far more valuable: hope.
The MAI Impact Foundation is the heart of Minority Acquisitions, Inc., transforming every business acquisition into a force for healing. We exist to ensure that no child, no parent, and no family has to endure what Derwin did. For us, success is not just measured in profits — it’s measured in lives changed.
